And the book of the week is . . .

Intentional Happiness Book CoverMine!

Yes, on this Black Friday, I am shamelessly promoting my own book.  You can see the links on the sidebar for purchasing a paperback, Kindle or e-book edition, so if you’re reading this in the daily e-mail be sure to go to my Intentional Living website so that you can follow those links.

I tried to make this a supremely practical book, with lots of illustrations from my own and others’ lives.  (You’ll find out a great deal about my husband and my mother.)  Honestly, folks, when I follow my own advice I’m much happier.

Where else are you going to find a book that covers topics from God’s view of happiness, to the nature of forgiveness, to the importance of order in the Old Testament Tabernacle, to . . . closet cleanout?  It’s all there, and much more.  There’s even an appendix on the Five Golden Rules of Eating.  Well worth the price just for that one section alone!  And the book would lend itself well to group discussion, as there are study questions at the end of each chapter.  (The original edition did not have these questions, but they are now included in all formats.)

I have great plans for other books, notably ones on love/relationships and on healthy eating.  They’re in the queue, so to speak.  This is the one that started the ball rolling, went through the fires of an initial discussion group, and pushed me to start this website.  Read the sample chapter, “The Big Effect of Small Actions” also linked in the sidebar, and see what you think.Save
